Our cat program cares for cats and kittens from all walks of life! From the healthy house cat, to cats with ringworm, FelV+, barn cats and neonatal kittens who need to be bottle fed. Opportunities with cats range from daily care, treating medical issues, bottlefeeding to foster and adoption placement.
Our medical clinic works to ensure all the cats and dogs who come through our doors receive the care and attention they need to live a healthy life. Opportunities include distributing medication, surgery recovery, prescription filling and so much more! Medical experience is welcome but not necessary, we’ll train you in all you need to know.
Working directly with animals not your thing? That’s okay, you can still contribute to our lifesaving efforts while supporting one (or more) of our 5 Thrift store locations throughout Austin, Round Rock and Pflugerville. Our boutique-style stores sell high-quality new and gently used items for low prices. All net proceeds directly support our mission. Opportunities include clothing sorting, staging and organizing! Volunteers are even eligible for a discount!
Saving the lives of cats and dogs goes beyond what we do at the shelter. Supporting the community helps ensure that more animals don’t end up in the shelter system unnecessarily. Opportunities include teaming with other social service agencies to community members and their pets, pet food pantry distribution and more!
