Lyla must have once been someone’s cherished pet. This gentle old lady is incredibly sweet and loves to be near or on her human. She purrs a lot and loves to sit in your lap and snuggle.

We don’t know what happened, but she was found wandering in the street and walking in circles. She may have been outside for some time because she was very thin with severely matted fur.

Now that she’s with us, she seems ever so grateful to be getting the love and care she needs! We shaved her mats and her lovely long fur is growing back. She’s on a kidney diet and on a med to ease the discomfort of her arthritis. Like some great-grandmas, she is hard of hearing and sometimes slightly confused. And just when you think she’s lost in her dreams, her impish side emerges and she’ll try to filch her foster’s cat’s food! These qualities just endear her to us even more!

She’s a tiny girl with a tiny meow, and she likes to delight you with her silent meow. She sleeps a lot, but when she feels extra sprightly, she’ll even chase a wand toy!

Lyla’s foster says she is an absolute delight to be around! She accepts her medical treatments calmly and gratefully, and she is very easy to care for.

Lyla hopes to live out the rest of her golden years in a quiet, warm home where someone is often there to give her the care and attention she loves and deserves. She would be fine with other friendly cats.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
