Meet Buddy!
Buddy is a gentle, sweet-natured pup who loves being around his people. He quickly bonds with the people in his home. Buddy is house trained, rides calmly in the car, and settles in nicely when left alone, often choosing a cozy spot to relax or nap until his people return. He’s also a smart boy who already knows cues like sit and shake, and he’s very treat-motivated. Squeaky toys are one of his favorite comforts, and he’ll happily carry them around when he’s feeling playful or a little unsure.
Buddy has shown great potential for living with cats. During his sleepover, he met two resident cats and remained calm, respectful, and curious throughout their interactions. Even when one of the cats hissed, Buddy simply took the cue and moved along. He has even enjoyed sleeping near cats in past sleepovers, and their presence seemed to help him feel more relaxed. Buddy also did well meeting new people and encountering other dogs on walks, where he was curious but manageable on leash and responded well to gentle redirection.
Buddy can sometimes be a little sensitive in busy or unfamiliar environments, and he appreciates having a safe, quiet space to relax. Despite this, he remained calm in the home, showed very little destructive behavior, and had no potty accidents during his stay. With a patient adopter and a predictable routine, Buddy is likely to grow more confident and comfortable over time. If you’re looking for a kind-hearted companion who enjoys cozy spaces, gentle affection, and the occasional squeaky toy, Buddy could be the perfect match.
