Oro has been waiting long enough — and the right person is going to feel it the moment they meet him. 🌟

This handsome Lab/AmStaff mix is the kind of dog who settles in beside you on the couch after a walk and exhales like he's finally home. He's calm, affectionate, loyal, and genuinely sweet with the humans he trusts. Oro has been in foster care for a while, and he deserves a home that's truly his.

What Oro is great a
*Being a devoted, loving companion to his person 🧡
*Leash walks (he loves a good stroll!)
*Snuggling and hanging out at home
*Thriving in a quiet, predictable environment

What Oro needs you to know: Oro is an honest dog — what you see is what you get, and he needs an adopter who's ready to meet him where he is. Here's the real picture:
*Solo dog household only. Oro does not do well with other dogs and should be the only pet in the home. No cats or small animals either — he has a strong prey drive.
*Muzzle trained for public outings. Oro can be reactive to runners and cyclists on walks. He wears a muzzle in public settings, which keeps everyone safe and lets him enjoy the world. This is a management tool, not a punishment — and it's already part of his routine. 🐾
*Kids on wheels = a no. Oro can react to children on scooters or bikes. A home without young children, or with older kids who understand dog body language, is the best fit.
*Gut health in progress. Oro has been diagnosed with GI inflammation and is doing well on a prescription diet. His new family will need to maintain that diet — no table scraps or food switches.
*Nighttime potty breaks needed. Oro requires a middle-of-the-night outing while his gut continues to heal. This is likely temporary, but his adopter should be prepared for it now.

Oro's ideal home: An adult-only or older-kids household with no other pets, a patient and experienced dog person who appreciates a calm senior companion, and someone who enjoys low-key walks and high-quality couch time. If you've loved a complex dog before, you already know: the ones who need a little more give back so much more. 🏡

Oro is $25 to adopt and comes fully vetted. He's earned his forever — are you the one?
