Loving, Curious, Outgoing
Who is this mysterious kitty with the mask-like markings? It’s Masquerade Ball! He’s one of the friendliest cats you’ll meet, always wanting to be wherever his person is.
Masquerade Ball, or Mask for short, has become his foster’s little shadow. After just three days in foster, Mask was already making himself comfy in his foster’s lap. If his foster is in the bathroom, he’s perched on the counter or sitting on top of the toilet. The moment they enter the room, Mask can’t contain his excitement and will start meowing and chirping since he’s so happy to see them! He also has an adorable habit of flopping down to the ground, almost like a body slam, a move which he’s always happy to receive head pets for!
Mask absolutely loves being petted and getting all the attention you want to give him, but he’s also content just relaxing near you in the same room. He now runs over to his foster’s lap when they pat their lap, plopping himself there in the funniest sitting positions. Sometimes he’ll get all the way in their lap, but other times his front or hind legs might be hanging off, or he might just stretch his bong long across their lap. You never know what you’re going to get with him!
Mask’s friendliness extends to other creatures as well. He and the resident cat are separated most of the time, but they have sniffed each other and love to have little conversations through the door. Mask should make a great buddy for another kitty!
With how much he loves people, Mask will happily play if you’re playing with him. He likes batting at q-tips and all kinds of stringy things, especially the ties on his foster’s robe. When they’re dangling them for him, Mask will snap at them like an alligator!
Masquerade Ball is such a lover that he would be happy in almost any home where he can spend as much time with his people as possible. Having some things to climb on, some soft spots to lounge, and maybe even a kitty friend would be a plus too!
Masquerade Ball has diabetes and requires some extra care. His current routine consists of eating a diabetic diet-approved food twice daily and receiving an insulin shot and an oral medication about 30 minutes after eating. He tolerates both of these extremely well! For more information, just reach out and we'll discuss his routine with you.
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
