Calm, Attentive, Devoted

Squeeze is a cat who carefully chooses her person and sticks with them. If you’re patient and intentional, she rewards you in the sweetest ways. It may take a beat, but when Squeeze feels safe, she leans into gentle pets, closes her eyes in contentment, and purrs so loudly it could power a small town. She’s what we call an Instapurr kitty – if you turn your attention to her, she starts purring!

She is a very devoted and loving cat that likes to be near her person most of the time, like the sweetest little shadow. She’ll happily greet you at the door when you come home. She especially loves getting light forehead kisses while being pet. She’ll even groom you to show you how much she trusts and loves you.

She has become more comfortable walking across her foster on the bed and will even lie on her legs. Her typical lounging/sleeping spots are the cat tree and her heating pad, which is next to her foster’s spot on the best. Sometimes her foster awakes to find Squeeze draped halfway across her in absurd positions

Squeeze is also quite the conversationalist. She has a soft, gentle voice and will happily chat with you throughout the day, especially around mealtime. The cutest thing about her is her tiny meow. She meows often and with full expression, but hardly any sound comes out! Sometimes she lets out tiny, bird-like chirps that are impossibly cute and heart-melting.

Like most self-respecting ladies, Squeeze has some boundaries. She prefers not to be picked up, and stay away from her belly and toes, please. Other than that, bring on the pets!

Squeeze thrives with other cats and benefits greatly from their company. Playing with her feline friends helps her get the enrichment and play that she needs. When it’s time to rest, Squeeze curls up on a nice heating pad with her foster's kitty. She has done well with respectful kids, but given that she’s adamant about her boundaries, she might not be the best fit with small kids and bouncy dogs.

While she does get the occasional case of zoomies at night, she’s mostly content to nap the day away. When she’s in a playful mood she enjoys whacking small toys across the room. She’ll also enthusiastically shred any cardboard you give her. She ignores catnip. She does have quite a food fetish and will try to eat any human food that’s not nailed down.

As you develop a relationship with her, you’ll find she prefers slow movements, and needs a tender, patient approach when being picked up. But with trust, she’s shown she can relax into it. She flinches at fast motions, but when attention is calm and respectful, she opens up beautifully.

Squeeze would thrive in a home with someone who values trust, patience, and quiet companionship (but also loves to play!). If you’re looking for a cat who will bond deeply, follow you faithfully, and share a meaningful connection, Squeeze might just be your perfect match.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
